VR Developer Responsibility Statement

Virtual Reality as a consumer commodity is a new and rapidly-evolving landscape, but it has already been shown to be an incredibly powerful tool. All VR content-creators have the responsibility to develop with health and wellness in mind. Should a developer's creation be found to be harmful, they have the social responsibility to ensure that the health and wellness of those affected is of utmost importance.

VR Addiction Treatment Project

Studies have yet to show the long-term effects on individuals that experience prolonged exposure to virtual environments through the use of commercially-available hardware. Because of its ability to provide extraordinary experiences beyond everyday life, virtual reality can have powerful effects on our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that could lead to overuse and addiction.

Our Solution

Moodru has developed a series of virtual environments specifically to address addiction to virtual reality. The system utilizes advanced behavior modification techniques and proprietary technology to reduce the appeal of virtual reality environments when compared to actual reality. Similar to how chemical substance addictions are treated, our system allows individuals to titrate down their use of and reliance on virtual reality. Our VR Addiction platform is scheduled for release in Q4 2016. Please contact us directly for more information.

Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) Project

Our radicalization treatment project attempts to counteract radicalization processes that lead to mass violence. We are in the very early stages of gathering research and developing experimental environments. More information will be posted here soon.
